Spend any time around Italians in Italy and you are sure to hear one word come up in conversation again and again and again.  The word, ALLORA, has such a silvery sound to it - especially when spoken with that wonderful melodic Italian accent.  Google Translate lists a number of different translations - "then", "therefore", "now", "at that time", "in those days", and "in that case".   I would translate the word as "Well".  So, ALLORA, I hope you enjoy this account of my time in Italy.
